Description

You will explore collage as a creative and sensitive language. You will experiment with materials, images, and objects to create unique compositions. Connect with your intuition in a guided, reflective space
To begin, I will welcome you to a space designed for exploration and creation, where you will learn about the materials and the workshop's approach. We will begin with a brief introduction to collage as a sensory language, a field of relationships between fragments, memory, and perception.
Through activation exercises, you will awaken your gaze and your connection to the materials: observing, touching, selecting, and cutting without a fixed idea, allowing intuition and chance to guide your initial decisions. Gradually, you will begin to gather images, words, and objects that catch your attention, creating personal associations.
In the process, you will explore compositional principles such as rhythm, balance, tension, and empty/full, while experimenting with techniques like layering, fragmentation, and free montage. You will be able to incorporate various elements—paper, text, drawings, or objects—allowing each combination to suggest new possibilities. No previous experience is necessary: the focus is on the process, on exploration, and on discovery.
Throughout the session, you will receive close support to help you develop your work, always respecting your pace and your decisions. The space encourages concentration, but also playfulness and openness to the unexpected.
Toward the end, there will be a group observation session where you can share your process, if you wish. Rather than evaluating results, we will focus on what emerged, on the relationships that developed between the fragments, and on how each collage constructs meaning in a unique way.
You will end the experience with new tools to continue exploring collage as a creative, reflective, and personal practice, where cutting and recomposing become a way of thinking, feeling, and creating.
