Embark on a 2-day trek from Marrakech to Mount Toubkal, North Africa’s highest peak. Hike through Berber villages, enjoy Atlas Mountain views, and spend a night in a cozy mountain lodge.
Day 1 : Marrakech – Imlil – Toubkal Refuge
After an early breakfast at your Marrakech hotel, your driver will take you deep into the High Atlas Mountains to the charming Berber village of Imlil (1,740 m). There, you’ll meet your mountain guide, cook, and muleteers who will handle your luggage and supplies.
The trek begins on scenic trails passing through traditional Berber villages and along mule paths toward Sidi Chamhrouch (2,500 m), a spiritual site where you’ll enjoy a picnic lunch prepared by your cook. After a rest, continue your ascent to the Toubkal Refuge (3,200 m). Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed with refreshing mint tea and stunning mountain views.
Enjoy a hot shower, relax, and prepare for your summit climb the next day.
Optional: In summer, spend the night in a comfortable tent under the stars.
Day 2 : Toubkal Refuge – Toubkal Summit – Imlil – Marrakech
Rise early for breakfast around 5:00 a.m. before beginning the ascent to Mount Toubkal (4,167 m), the highest peak in North Africa. The climb takes about 3–4 hours, offering breathtaking views of the Atlas Mountains, lush valleys, and distant Berber villages.
After enjoying time at the summit for photos and a well-earned break, descend to the refuge where a hearty lunch awaits. Later, continue down to Imlil along the same scenic route.
Your driver will then take you back to Marrakech or the airport, marking the end of an unforgettable mountain adventure.
Optional: Extend your stay with an extra night at Toubkal Refuge (advance notice required).
