Description
Discover two amazing spots in one trip, start at Santa Maria Beach for some water activities and beach time, then continue to Machangulo Peninsula for relaxing escape.
Your day starts with a nice boat ride from Maputo City across the bay, taking around 1 hour and 15 minutes, with great views of the city, the coastline, and fresh sea air.
Our first stop is Santa Maria Beach, a beautiful, natural & quiet beach. Here you’ll have time to snorkel, kayak, swim, or just relax on the beach and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. It’s the perfect place to switch off and enjoy the moment.
After Santa Maria, we continue to Machangulo Peninsula, known for its beautiful views and cozy atmosphere. Once there, you can explore the beaches and visit Hell’s Gate, the channel that separates Inhaca Island from mainland Maputo.
There is also the option to stop at Bemugi’s Deck, a beachfront spot where you can enjoy food and drinks with beautiful sea views. If you’d like to explore more, you can also optionally rent a car to visit Machangulo Village and the Ponta Abril Shipwreck. These extra stops are optional, so you can choose between more exploring or simply relaxing by the beach.
