Begin with a pickup from your hotel in Kathmandu and head to Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest Buddhist stupas in the world and an important center of Tibetan Buddhism. From there, continue to Pashupatinath Temple, Nepal’s most revered temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Set along the Bagmati River, this sacred complex offers a close look at living religious practice, including rituals and cremation ceremonies seen from designated viewing areas.
Continue into the historic core of the city for a visit to Hanuman Dhoka Palace in Kathmandu Durbar Square.
