Travel through Canterbury’s wine country and visit boutique vineyards. Sample premium varietals and enjoy a regional platter lunch in a tranquil setting.
Begin your day with pickup from the Central City Tram Stop (#2 Cathedral Square) at 11:30am. Travel north from Christchurch through rolling farmland, taking in the changing scenery as you enter the heart of Waipara Valley one of New Zealand’s most distinctive cool-climate wine regions.

Explore a curated selection of boutique wineries, such as Waipara Springs, Torlesse, Pegasus Bay, or Georges Road. Each vineyard offers a unique atmosphere and a personalised cellar door experience, where you’ll have the chance to sample at least 15 wines across varieties including Pinot Noir, Riesling, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, and Sauvignon Blanc. Learn from passionate cellar hosts about the region’s limestone soils, long growing season, and the winemaking techniques that shape each vintage.

Midway through the tour, enjoy a beautifully presented platter lunch at Waipara Springs. Relax and soak in the peaceful vineyard setting as you savour local specialties. After lunch, continue your tastings before returning to Christchurch, with drop-off in the central city at approximately 5:00pm. leaving you free to explore further or unwind after a day of discovery.
