Once at the centre of power during the War of the Roses, St Mary’s Guildhall has housed the Crown Jewels, served as a prison for Mary Queen of Scots, and hosted literary figures such as George Eliot. It’s a place where history truly comes to life.
In the Great Hall, marvel at the Coventry Tapestry, a stunning piece of art that has remained in its original location for 500 years. Then, explore the recently uncovered medieval kitchen, one of the finest in the country, hidden for over a century.
