Begin your journey through the heart of Hardanger, a landscape of thundering waterfalls, deep blue fjords, a mighty glacier, and dramatic mountain roads. Travel in a small group of no more than six guests, in comfort and good company, looked after by a friendly local driver who makes sure your day runs smoothly from start to finish.
On board, an iPad is passed around for anyone who'd like to read along — your window into every place you visit. As you approach each waterfall, fjord crossing, and viewpoint, explore the stories behind them at your own pace: the history, the legends, the nature. Arrive at each stop already knowing what makes it special — no rushing, no crowds, no straining to hear over the wind. Just you, the landscape, and the freedom to take it all in.
Midway through the day, pause for a 60-minute lunch break at Buer, a beautifully restored barn restaurant sitting right at the foot of the Buerbreen glacier. The kitchen is led by head chef Erlend Stueland, who honed his craft at Bare in Bergen — the restaurant that earned the city its first Michelin star — and serves fresh, seasonal Nordic dishes made from local ingredients, with the glacier and mountains as your backdrop. A dedicated lunch menu is available; food and drinks here are paid individually, so you simply choose whatever tempts you.
Keep refreshed with drinks along the route, with plenty of chances to step out, stretch your legs, and capture photos you'll treasure long after you're home.
