After pickup, the tour begins at Kalishta, a unique spiritual site on the shores of Lake Ohrid. Explore the remarkable rock-carved monastery, where monks once lived and worshipped inside the mountain. Wander through the carved chambers, visit the nearby church, and admire one of the oldest trees in Macedonia, learning about the monks’ devoted way of life.
Next, the journey continues to Struga, a city renowned for its poetry and bridges, and host of the world-famous Struga Poetry Evenings, one of the largest poetry festivals in the world. Stroll through the city center, visit the local market to taste fresh homemade products, discover the source of the Black Drin River, and enjoy a leisurely walk through town. You’ll have free time for lunch before visiting the Nezlobinski Museum and the Brothers Miladinovci Memorial House.
