Combine two of Tromsø’s most popular attractions and join an adventurous snowshoe hike on the top of Fjellheisen mountain to have the chance to see the northern lights from the best viewpoint in town.
We begin our adventure by meeting up at the center of Tromsø city, where a private shuttle will transport you to the lower station of Fjellheisen Cable Car. With exclusive access to skip the queue, you'll ascend to the upper station, 421 meters above sea level where your snowshoe hike begins.
All necessary snowshoeing equipment is provided, along with a brief introduction to help you feel comfortable and confident. Our knowledgeable guide will be with you throughout the hike, ensuring both your safety and enjoyment. Should the Northern Lights appear, they’ll even capture a special Aurora portrait for you.
After roughly an hour of snowshoeing, we’ll return to the upper station. Here, you can warm up with a hot drink and a sweet pastry inside our cozy mountain café.
To conclude the evening, we'll descend via cable car and return to Tromsø by private shuttle.

INFORMATION IMPORTANTE
Fjellheisen Cable Car is expanding their facilities - please expect ongoing construction work at the upper cable car station.
We do not provide winter clothing, only the necessary snowshoeing equipment. Dress appropriately for the weather: the temperature on top of the mountain is usually lower and the winds are stronger than in the city center of Tromsø.
Moderate tours are suitable for those in good physical condition. Everyone on these tours should be able to hike at least 1 hour at a moderate pace with breaks.
Professionally edited photos are available within 48 hours after your tour. We also provide optimized images for printing, available for purchase.
Meet up at the ground floor entrance hall (inside) at Tromsø Havn Prostneset.
