Description

Embark on a safari from Kampala to Kigali. Trek gorillas in Bwindi, see chimpanzees in Kyambura Gorge, and enjoy a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel.
Start your adventure with a pickup from your hotel in Kampala. Begin your journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park in a comfortable 4WD safari vehicle. Stop at the Uganda Equator line mark at Kayabwe for a photo opportunity. Enjoy lunch en route in Mbarara before arriving at Queen Elizabeth National Park in the late afternoon. Check in at the lodge and, if time allows, go for an evening game drive.

After an early morning breakfast, participate in a morning game drive through the Kasenyi Plains, a spot for predators hunting their prey. View animals such as jackals, bushbucks, forest hogs, buffaloes, elephants, and Kobs as they go about their daily routines. In the afternoon, head to a fantastic launch cruise on the Kazinga Channel and observe beautiful birds and wildlife.

The channel attracts a large concentration of wildlife and birdlife to quench their thirst, and this boat launch safari would certainly expose you to these creatures. After the boat safari, enjoy the evening game viewing as you return to the lodge.

The next day, transfer to Kyambura Gorge for chimpanzee trekking. Chimps in Kyambura Gorge have a remarkable habit of getting down the trees each time they see visitors, allowing for great photos from a close distance. Apart from the chimpanzees, hiking down the gorge exposes you to unique and amazing biodiversity. Spot rare vegetation and tall tropical trees. The gorge is also home to mammals like hippos, elephants (occasionally), and other smaller primates. The whole activity takes 2 to 3 hours.

Afterwards, transfer to Bwindi National Park ahead of the gorilla trekking safari the next morning. After an early morning breakfast, transfer to the ranger station for a Uganda Gorilla Trekking Briefing on dos and don’ts while interacting with gorillas. Accompanied by a senior ranger guide, hike into the forest in search of gorillas. After the experience, transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for an overnight stay at the resort.

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast followed by an amazing sunrise boat cruise on the lake to discover some of the 20 islands and learn about their history. Later, transfer to Kigali city. Upon arrival in Kigali, Rwanda, your driver guide will be advised on the drop-off point, either at your hotel or at the airport, targeting your departure.
