Continue further east to visit the ancient ruins of Sumharam (Khor Rori), once a thriving port of the frankincense trade and, according to legend, the site of the Queen of Sheba’s palace.
On the return journey to Salalah, pass through the lands of the Jebbali people, where herds of camels and cattle are a common sight. At the foot of the mountains, reach Wadi Darbat, a natural jewel with its flowing river, lake, and lush greenery surrounded by hills.
