Discover the most attractive places in the city of Trujillo.
10:30 We head to the Moche countryside and appreciate the way of life of the Moche people, both in their craftsmanship, expressed in the manufacture of ceramics, leatherwork, wood and stone carvings, basketry and others, as well as in their gastronomy.
Finally we arrive at the Huacas of the sun and the moon, considered a Mochica sanctuary formed by a group of monuments that physically represented the capital of the Mochica Culture from the first century B.C.. C. until the IX century.
Lunch time, we go to the museum of the Chanchan sites, where various original objects found in Chan Chan are exhibited.
Then we continue to Chanchan, formed by 9 citadels or palaces. Each of them has similar formal characteristics such as: its monumental scale, the very restricted access, the complexity and elaboration of its architectural forms.
We continue the tour arriving at Huanchaco, a traditional fishing cove, whose inhabitants still preserve many of the customs of their Mochica ancestors; so much so that the tiny boats called "caballitos", made of reed, are still the main working tool of the current Huanchaco fisherman.
