Discover the Sacred Valley on an exciting ATV adventure from Ollantaytambo, combining beautiful Andean landscapes with two of the region’s highlights: Moray and the Maras Salt Mines.
Meet your guide at the main square in Ollantaytambo and travel by tourist transportation to our ATV base in Cruzpata. Upon arrival, receive a safety briefing and instructions on how to operate your ATV. You’ll also have time for a practice session before beginning the ride.
Start your ATV adventure with an approximately 45-minute ride through the spectacular Andean countryside toward Moray. Along the way, enjoy open landscapes, mountain views, local farmland, and the unique scenery of the Sacred Valley.
Upon arrival at Moray, leave your ATV and take time to explore the famous circular Inca terraces, take photos, and listen to your guide’s explanation about the history and importance of this fascinating archaeological site.
After visiting Moray, get back on your ATV for another approximately 45-minute scenic ride through the Andes as you return to the Cruzpata base.
Once back at the base, leave the ATVs and continue by tourist vehicle toward the Maras Salt Mines. Along the way, you may stop at a local salt shop to discover different products made with the famous Maras salt.
Continue to the Maras Salt Mines, where you can admire the thousands of salt pools cascading down the mountainside and learn about the traditional salt-harvesting process that has been practiced in the area for generations.
After the tour, enjoy a comfortable return to Ollantaytambo. If you prefer, we can take you directly back to Cusco city center at no additional cost. Please note that this complimentary transfer does not include the airport or other destinations outside the city center.
