Day 1: Cusco - Ollantaytambo - Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu
We will pick you up at 4:00 a.m. and take you on a 1 hour and 45 minute ride to the Ollantaytambo train station. From there, you will take the train to Aguas Calientes at 6:10 a.m., a journey of 1 hour and 30 minutes. In Aguas Calientes, our transfer will take you to the bus station to board the bus to the main entrance of Machu Picchu, where you will meet your guide.
Enjoy an approximately 2-hour guided tour of Machu Picchu with your expert guide. Afterwards, you will have free time to explore on your own or hike up Huayna Picchu Mountain with an estimated time of 2 hours for the hike.
After the tour, you will take the bus back to Aguas Calientes, where you will have free time for lunch and explore the town. Afterwards, you will return by train to Ollantaytambo and then by vehicle to Cusco, arriving at approximately 10:00 pm.
