Discover Iquitos in 2 days, combining a tour of its historic center with an adventure on the Amazon River. Discover its main attractions, visit Monkey Island and the Yagua community, and look for Amazonian dolphins.

On the first day, you'll take a walking tour of some of the most iconic places in Iquitos. Visit the Plaza de Armas, the Cathedral, the Iron House, and the Tarapacá Promenade, from where you can see part of the Itaya River and the jungle landscape surrounding the city.

On the second day, you'll enjoy an Amazonian experience, sailing on a typical boat along the Nanay and Amazon Rivers. Visit Monkey Island to see primates in their natural habitat, enjoy a typical lunch, and meet the Yagua community and learn about their traditions. The tour also includes a visit to a rescue center and a search for grey and pink river dolphins on the Amazon River.

Trip Itinerary:

Day 1 – Iquitos Sightseeing Tour
9:00 a.m.: Start of the walking tour through downtown Iquitos to learn about part of the city's history, culture, and development.

Visit the Plaza de Armas, the Cathedral, the Iron House, and the Tarapacá Promenade, considered one of the city's traditional spaces. During the tour, you'll be able to admire the Itaya River and the landscape of the Amazon rainforest. End of the activity and return to the hotel.

Day 2 – Amazon River, Monkey Island, and Yagua Community
9:30 a.m.: Transfer to Bellavista Nanay Port to start the boat trip on a typical vessel along the Nanay River.

During the tour, you will see the confluence of the Nanay and Amazon Rivers before continuing down the Amazon River to Monkey Island, where you will observe different species of primates in their natural habitat.

At the indicated time, enjoy a typical lunch at a lodge with fish, chonta palm salad, jungle fruits, and a soft drink. On the way back, visit a Yagua community to learn about some of its history and customs.

Continue to a rescue center, where you'll learn about different species and see an impressive anaconda. Finally, go in search of pink and grey river dolphins on the Amazon River before returning to Iquitos and being transferred to your hotel.
