Discover a journey through changing landscapes as you travel from the Andes into the Amazon region on a 3-day nature experience from Cusco. Begin your adventure with a scenic route through mountain valleys and the historic site of Ninamarka before entering the cloud forest, an environment known for its rich vegetation, orchids, and diverse birdlife.
Continue toward Pilcopata and experience the rainforest environment with guided explorations and an overnight stay in a jungle lodge surrounded by nature. Travel by boat through river landscapes and visit Lake Machuwasi, where you may observe monkeys, hoatzins, caimans, and other species in their natural surroundings. Climb a lookout tower for panoramic rainforest views and discover the sounds of the jungle during a night exploration.
On the final day, start early for a visit to a parrot clay lick and witness one of the rainforest’s natural displays. Return through the cloud forest and enjoy a complete experience that combines nature, wildlife observation, and diverse ecosystems in one journey from Cusco.
