Begin your day with a pickup from your hotel in Kigali. Head north to the Volcanoes Mountains base town of Musanze, located about 95 km (approx 2.5 hours) away.
Upon arrival at Lake Kivu, embark on a 2-hour boat excursion. Pass by nearby islands, Rwanda's main breweries (BRALIRWA), hot springs, Paradise Island, and enjoy distant views of the Methane Gas Plant. Take in the beautiful scenery of the terraced hillsides and other attractions.
After the boat excursion, disembark at Lake Kivu Serena Hotel and enjoy a hot lunch while taking in the beach view.
After lunch, drive back to Kigali, making an optional stop for souvenir shopping on the way.
