Begin your adventure with a snowshoe walk through the Arctic landscape to a reindeer enclosure. Meet a Sami reindeer herder and learn about Sami culture, reindeer husbandry, and life in one of Europe’s last wilderness regions.
Feed the reindeer and take photographs as you gain a deeper understanding of the Arctic way of life. After spending time with the herd, warm up around the fire inside a traditional Sami lavvu. Enjoy hot drinks and snacks while listening to stories about the region and its people.
The morning departure allows you to experience the unique Arctic light, from colorful sunrises to the soft glow of the Polar Night season.

The tour operates on Thursday mornings throughout the winter season (October to March).
**Please note:** This tour does not include pick-up. Please meet your guide at the entrance of Abisko Mountain Lodge 15 minutes before the tour starts.
Please note: During October and November, if there is not enough snow, the hike will take place without snowshoes, we will let you know in advance and offer a full refund if you dont want to join without snowshoes.
