In your private van with a tour leader/driver, you leave Montreux for a day among lakes, castles, and the federal capital, through the most beautiful landscapes of the Bernese Oberland.
First destination: Blausee, a natural lake with crystal-clear turquoise waters nestled in the heart of the forests of the Bernese Oberland. Fed by underground springs, this small lake of striking beauty offers a timeless setting, with reflections of fir trees and translucent waters.
Then head to Thun for a photo stop in front of the medieval castle perched above the city, with views of Lake Thun and the peaks of the Bernese Oberland in the background.
The day continues in Bern, the federal capital of Switzerland and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1983. Your driver takes you to the historic heart of the city to discover the Zytglogge, the famous 15th-century astronomical clock tower, and the 6 km of medieval arcades that make Bern one of the best-preserved historic old towns in Europe.
The tour ends at the Rosengarten, the rose garden overlooking the historic old town, with an exceptional panorama of the rooftops of Bern and the bend in the Aare River below. Along the way, a stop at the Bear Pit allows you to observe the bears, the symbol of the city, in their natural space on the banks of the Aare.
Your transportation is entirely private by van, at your own pace.
