Description
Explore Seoul on a private, personalized tour with a licensed guide. Learn to navigate the subway and order food, then get a personalized plan with restaurants and routes for the rest of your stay.
Most tours end when the walk is over. This one gives you a head start for your whole trip. Explore Seoul on a private 4-hour tour designed around your interests, learn how to get around like a local, and receive a personal plan for the rest of your stay.
How it works:
1. Share your interests when booking, such as history, local neighbourhoods, cafés, fashion, K-culture, food markets or architecture.
2. Your licensed guide designs a route around your interests and pace, and shows you the city on foot and by subway.
3. Along the way, learn how to use the subway and T-money card, set up local apps such as Naver Map and Kakao T, and order food with confidence.
4. After the tour, your guide sends you a tailor-made list of restaurants, cafés, shopping spots and routes for the rest of your stay.
Sample itinerary: Old and New Seoul
1. Meeting point (10 min): Meet your guide in central Seoul.
2. Gyeongbokgung Palace (50 min): Walk through the main royal palace of the Joseon Dynasty and learn about Korean royal history.
3. Bukchon Hanok Village (40 min): Stroll through quiet alleys lined with traditional hanok houses.
4. Ikseon-dong (40 min): Discover an old hanok neighbourhood filled with small cafés and independent shops.
5. Subway ride (20 min): Ride the subway with your guide and learn to navigate Seoul on your own.
6. Seongsu-dong (50 min): Explore Seoul's creative district of concept stores, galleries and design cafés.
7. Tour ends (10 min): Finish in Seongsu-dong. Your personal trip plan will be sent after the tour.
Other route ideas: Hongdae and K-pop spots, Gwangjang Market street food, or Hannam-dong and Garosu-gil boutiques.
The tour lasts about 4 hours and is conducted on foot and by public transport. The final route depends on your interests and may be adjusted for opening hours and travel time. Entrance fees, food, drinks and transport costs are not included.
