On this guided walking food tour, you’ll explore the lively Gros neighborhood, a vibrant area loved by locals for its authentic pintxos culture and bustling taverns. Along the way, you’ll enjoy some traditional dishes, paired with regional drinks that showcase the very best of Basque cuisine.
Your journey begins at a historic family-owned pintxos bar, open since 1942. Here, you’ll learn the art of pouring natural Basque cider and taste one of Spain’s finest delicacies: premium 100% Iberian ham. Next, savor the freshness of the sea with an oyster shucked right before your eyes, a true taste of the Bay of Biscay.
From there, step into a lively gastropub at the heart of Gros to try their famous creamy croquette, a local favorite. The tour continues with a stop at an elegant wine bar, where you’ll sample two Basque treasures: the crisp white Txakoli and a rich Rioja red.
