In this workshop, you'll create a handmade candle with vegetable wax, inspired by Galician culture. You'll choose the scent, prepare the wax, and shape a unique handmade piece.
Upon arriving at a cozy workshop in Santiago de Compostela, you'll be welcomed with an introduction to the Galician artisan tradition and the historical use of candles in the city's daily and spiritual life. You'll learn about the different types of plant-based wax and scents inspired by Galicia's nature, like humid forests and local herbs. Then you'll choose your fragrance, prepare the wax step by step, and learn how to pour and mold it with simple techniques. While you work, you'll enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of a city marked by the Camino de Santiago. At the end, you'll take home a unique candle you made yourself.
