Begin with a pickup from your hotel or any address in Zurich. After a scenic drive of about one hour, arrive in Lucerne, framed by its lake and snow-capped mountains.
Walk across the famous Chapel Bridge (Kapellbrücke), the oldest covered wooden bridge in Europe, and explore the car-free Old Town with its painted facades and festive lights reflected in the Reuss river.
Enjoy Rudolfs Weihnacht on the Inseli park, a cozy Christmas village right on the shore of Lake Lucerne, with wooden chalets, glowing trees, and warm Swiss treats. In December, visit the traditional Lucerne Christmas market on Franziskanerplatz, famous for its giant Advent wreath and stalls with handmade gifts, candles, and local specialties.
In the afternoon, cross into Germany and arrive in Konstanz as darkness falls and the winter magic begins. Explore the largest Christmas market on Lake Constance, stretching from the historic Old Town and Marktstätte square all the way to the harbor.
