Begin your adventure with a pickup from your hotel in Arusha in the morning. After a short safari briefing, drive to Tarangire National Park for registration and the beginning of your game drive.
Explore the park’s open savannah, seasonal swamps, baobab forests, and the Tarangire River, which attracts large numbers of wildlife. Enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated area inside the park before continuing with an afternoon game drive.
Later in the day, leave Tarangire and drive to your lodge or campsite near Karatu or the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
After an early breakfast, drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend approximately 600 meters into the crater for a rewarding game drive.
Explore the crater floor, including grasslands, woodland areas, and seasonal wetlands. You may encounter lions, elephants, buffaloes, hippos, spotted hyenas, zebras, wildebeests, gazelles, and, with some luck, the endangered black rhinoceros.
Enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated location, usually near the hippo pool, before continuing your final game drive. In the afternoon, ascend from the crater and drive back to Arusha, arriving in the early evening.

Hotel pickup is usually between 6:30 AM and 7:30 AM, depending on your location.

The safari includes long driving hours and game drives on uneven or dusty roads.
Wildlife sightings depend on nature, weather and seasonal conditions and cannot be guaranteed.

Early mornings and evenings around Ngorongoro can be cold, so warm clothing is recommended.
