You’ll learn real spray‑paint techniques from a local artist, instructor, and create your own graffiti artwork in the heart of Fort Lauderdale’s Thrive District.
Your experience begins as you arrive in Fort Lauderdale’s vibrant Thrive District, surrounded by colorful murals and the creative energy of this emerging art hub. You’ll meet your local graffiti artist, who welcomes you into an outdoor studio space and gives a quick introduction to the history and culture of street art. Next, you’ll learn how to handle spray paint, practice basic lines, shading, and lettering, and explore different techniques on a practice wall. Once you feel comfortable, you’ll work on creating your own graffiti piece with guidance from the artist. Throughout the class, you’ll walk through nearby murals, hear stories about the artists who painted them, and get plenty of time for photos. The experience ends with your finished artwork and a deeper appreciation for the creativity that defines the Thrive District.
