Begin your adventure with a fascinating historic tour led by your knowledgeable guide through downtown Skagway and along nine miles of breathtaking coastline to the Musher’s Camp in Dyea. From there, embark on an exciting ride up a rugged mountain road in a specialized unimog, surrounded by stunning glacial streams and waterfalls.
Upon reaching the top, be greeted by your musher and a team of energetic Alaskan Huskies, ready to take you on an exhilarating ride down a mile-long trail deep within the Tongass National Rainforest on a custom-designed, wheeled sled. After your thrilling ride, your unimog will take you to a breathtaking overlook of the Dyea tidal flats, where you might see eagles, bears, seals, and wildflowers, all with the backdrop of snow-capped mountains.
Next, enjoy a "Kennel Talk," where you will share fascinating information about dog sledding and answer any questions you may have. You'll also have plenty of time to play with the adorable puppies, whose socialization is essential to their racing success.
