Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City – My Tho – Can Tho
Your journey begins with a morning pickup in Ho Chi Minh City. Travel to My Tho to visit Vinh Trang Pagoda, the largest and most beautiful pagoda in the Mekong Delta. Continue with a scenic boat cruise on the Mekong River, passing floating houses and fish farms before entering quiet canals shaded by coconut palms.
Visit Thoi Son (Coconut Island) to enjoy tropical fruits, honey tea, and honey wine at a local family home. Learn how coconut candy is made and see traditional handicrafts. Take a relaxing walk through the village or ride by horse-drawn carriage while listening to traditional Southern folk music. Enjoy a peaceful sampan ride through narrow waterways.
After a Vietnamese set lunch, relax or cycle around the island before continuing to Can Tho City, the cultural center of the Mekong Delta. Overnight in Can Tho.
Day 2: Can Tho – Floating Market – Con Son Islet – Ho Chi Minh City
After breakfast, take a boat trip to the famous Cai Rang Floating Market, the most lively floating market in the region. Observe local traders selling fruits and goods directly from their boats. Visit a traditional rice noodle-making workshop and stroll through fruit gardens.
