This tour combines beach time with education and exploration. Visit the world-famous Projeto Tamar, a sea-turtle conservation project, stop by a fishing village and visit Praia do Forte, the 12 km beach known as the "Brazilian Polynesia."
Nicknamed the "Brazilian Polynesia," Praia do Forte lies 70 miles from Salvador. With its 12 kilometers of pristine beaches, this beachfront paradise offers a whole range of leisure activities.

As well as providing plenty of beach time, this tour also stops at the sea-turtle conservation project (Projeto Tamar). Created in 1980, the project centers on the identification of sea turtles and spawn sites, analyzing the effects of seasons and of problems caused by poaching. In 1983 the project expanded to include protection and preservation of sea turtles and their habitat as part of its mission. By 2008 the Tamar project released more than 8 million turtles into the sea.

Your tour also includes a stop in a fishing village. Complete the day with swimming at the Praia de Guarajuba, which is known for its warm, shallow waters and calm tide pools. Swim, relax, explore as you soak up the Brazilian sun.
