We begin the journey pedaling along the river from Santa Apolónia, Lisbon’s historic train station, heading towards the sleek skyline of Parque das Nações. Glide past bold modern architecture, public art, and waterfront promenades. Snap a photo beneath the towering Vasco da Gama Bridge or by the futuristic Gare do Oriente — this part of the ride is all about Lisbon’s contemporary charm.

Into Nature: Passadiços do Tejo
As the city fades, nature takes the spotlight. You’ll enter the Passadiços do Tejo, a serene series of elevated wooden walkways that hover above the estuary’s marshlands. These paths wind through a protected habitat where you might spot flamingos wading gracefully in the shallows, herons taking flight, or small islands dotting the silver water. Return to Lisbon
Refreshed and recharged, we cruise back along the same stunning path, seeing the landscape in a whole new light. The full round trip is about 40 km, but it’s flat, smooth, and beginner-friendly — no rush, just rhythm. You’ll return to Santa Apolónia with a head full of fresh air and new perspectives on Lisbon.
