Quito: to Cuenca visiting Cotopaxi, Quilotoa, Baños, the Amazon, and Ingapirca

Day 1
Departure from Quito from the selected pick-up point.
Breakfast stop at the entrance to Cotopaxi National Park (not included).
Hike around the Limpiopungo lagoon, inside the Cotopaxi National Park, home to one of the highest active volcanoes in the world.
Stop for lunch at a local restaurant run by a Kichwa family (not included).
Guide in Quilotoa. Explore the 3 km wide turquoise lake in the volcanic crater.
Stop to enjoy the famous Ecuadorian ice cream on the way to Baños.
Arrive in Baños, home to steaming volcanoes, explosive waterfalls, and hot springs. Head back to the Basilica Park.

Day 2
Pick-up at the Basilica of Baños.
Enjoy a traditional Amazonian breakfast at one of the best restaurants in the area (not included).
Visit Yanacoha, an Amazon wildlife rescue center where you'll observe Amazonian fauna rescued from illegal trade and in the process of recovery before being released into their natural habitat.
Visit the Las Orquídeas botanical garden to learn about the impressive Amazonian flora, including small orchids, medicinal plants, and centuries-old trees.
For lunch, enjoy a Maito (fish wrapped in Bijao leaves) prepared with exquisite Amazonian ingredients (not included).
Explore a secondary rainforest. Walk to an impressive waterfall and swim in its refreshing waters.
Round off the day at the magical Indichuris viewpoint to enjoy the view of one of the Amazon's most important rivers and its beautiful landscape facing the Andes.
Head back to Baños, to the Basilica.

Day 3
Free day in Baños or add our tour to Chimborazo for $85

Day 4
Head out from Baños to Riobamba, the heart of the country. Visit the community of La Moya, where you'll learn about the history of Ecuador's ancestral peoples. Participate in a cleansing ceremony and share this tradition with the local community.
Visit the traditional market of Guamote, one of the largest and most colorful in the country, to see the different products sold by the Kichwa people. (Only available on Thursdays).
Enjoy a lunch prepared by the locals of an indigenous community (not included).
Hike through the hills of Ozogoche, exploring an area with over 45 lagoons and observing the highland fauna amidst breathtaking scenery.
Head back to the town of Alausí.

Day 5
Meet at the train station.
Enjoy the adventure of the world's most difficult train ride, the Devil's Nose Train.
Enjoy a traditional lunch (not included).
Venture to the Ecuadorian Kañari-Inca ruins of Ingapirca for a tour of this site. (Open Wednesday to Sunday)
Before arriving in Cuenca, visit the Turi viewpoint, where you can enjoy an incredible view of the city.
You'll arrive in Cuenca and be transferred to Calderón Park.

Day 6
Free day in Cuenca, or you can add an extra tour to Gualaceo and Chordeleg for $55.
End of the tour in Cuenca.
