Day 1: Lake Nakuru National Park

Begin your safari with a scenic drive from Nairobi into the Great Rift Valley. As you descend the escarpments, the landscape opens into wide plains and acacia woodland, offering beautiful views of Kenya’s countryside.

Arrive at Lake Nakuru National Park, a renowned rhino sanctuary known for its rich wildlife and birdlife. During your game drive, you may spot black and white rhinos, herds of buffalo, zebra, and antelope, and the endangered Rothschild’s giraffe. The park is also home to flamingos and many other bird species that gather along the lake shore.

Lions, baboons, and warthogs are often seen across the grasslands and wooded areas. As the day comes to an end, enjoy the peaceful scenery before heading to your lodge near the park for an overnight stay.

Day 2: Maasai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, travel south through Narok County toward the Maasai Mara. Along the way, pass Maasai villages and grazing lands where local herders live in harmony with wildlife.

Arrive at the Maasai Mara in the early afternoon and begin your first game drive. The reserve is one of Africa’s most important wildlife habitats, home to elephants, lions, cheetahs, giraffes, and many other species across its open savannah.

Your guide will help you track and observe wildlife while sharing insights about the ecosystem. In the evening, proceed to your lodge or tented camp within or near the reserve for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Maasai Mara Sunrise Safari and Cultural Visit

Start the day with an early morning game drive, when animals are most active. You may witness predators returning from their hunts and large herds moving across the plains.

Later, visit a nearby Maasai village to learn about their traditions, daily life, and deep connection to the land. This cultural experience adds a meaningful human element to your safari.

In the afternoon, depart the Maasai Mara and travel north toward the Aberdare region for your overnight stay near the park.

Day 4: Aberdare National Park

Explore the forested highlands of Aberdare National Park, known for its waterfalls, bamboo forests, and cool climate. Here you may encounter bushbuck, giant forest hog, buffalo, and occasionally the rare bongo antelope.

You may also enjoy a short guided walk near the forest trails or waterfalls. In the afternoon, return to Nairobi, completing your 4-day Kenya wildlife safari.
