Nairobi: 5-Day Mt. Longonot & Rift Valley Adventure

Embark on a 5-day adventure from Nairobi to Mt. Longonot and the Rift Valley. Hike, relax, and explore the stunning landscapes and wildlife of the region.
Day 1: Arrival in Naivasha – Transfer from Nairobi

Begin with a pickup from Nairobi in the morning and drive through the scenic Great Rift Valley. Stop at the Rift Valley Viewpoint for photos. Arrive in Naivasha by midday. Spend the afternoon relaxing at the lodge or take an optional boat ride on Lake Naivasha.

Day 2: Hike Mt. Longonot

After an early breakfast, transfer to Mt. Longonot National Park. Begin the hike up Mt. Longonot (2,776m) — a dormant stratovolcano with a steep trail offering spectacular crater and Rift Valley views. Trek around the crater rim (optional, depending on fitness level). Descend and return to the lodge for rest.

Day 3: Hell’s Gate National Park

Visit Hell’s Gate National Park and enjoy cycling or game viewing on foot among giraffes, zebras, and gazelles. Explore the scenic Gorge (if open) and hot springs. In the afternoon, visit the Geothermal Spa for relaxation.

Day 4: Lake Elementaita / Lake Nakuru Excursion

After breakfast, drive to Lake Elementaita or Lake Nakuru National Park (about 1 hr).
