The Manaslu Base Camp is a trail that lies between the Budi Gandaki River and Marshyangdi River and passes through Tibetan-influenced communities. During the Manaslu trek, you’ll be welcomed by the Tibetan Buddhists with warm hospitality. The Manaslu trek is not only about going to see the mountain peaks but also about the unique flora and fauna found there. During the Manaslu trek, you may see unique wildlife including blue sheep, Himalayan marmots, or even snow leopards.

Manaslu Conservation area has 2000 varieties of plants, 39 varieties of animals, and 201 birds including many of them endangered animals. Larkya-La Pass at an elevation of 5135m is the highest and the most challenging point on the trek where you may feel the problem related to altitude sickness.

If you feel any altitude-related problem take a proper rest and ascend down slowly. Being physically fit is necessary to start the Manaslu trek. During the trek, you find a basic tea house for your accommodation where you’ll serve Nepali dishes like Dal Bhat. As Manaslu is a restricted region it requires restricted special permits and requires two compulsory permits, ACAP and MCAP. Your Journey to Manaslu trek starts with a drive towards Maccha Khola from Kathmandu and from Maccha Khola you’ll start your trekking journey towards Jagat and reach your destination after some days of trek.

Trekking in the Manaslu Base Camp solo is strictly prohibited so it is recommended to hire a guide or trek with the group on the Manaslu trek.
