Bardiya National Park (estd. 1988) 4-Day Tour is a meticulously planned jungle safari that begins from Kathmandu or Pokhara to one of the most protected areas of western Terai lowlands of Nepal. The tour has thus been essentially drafted for a primary purpose of sighting the diverse range of wild and aquatic animals in its natural habitat including Royal Bengal Tiger, Sloth Bear, Elephants, One Horned Rhino, Gangetic Dolphins and over 400 species of birds among others.

Trip Itinerary:

Day 1: Fly from Kathmandu/Pokhara to Nepalgunj & begin the tour

Day one of the trip begins with a pickup from your hotel in Kathmandu or Pokhara. The travelers will then be transferred to a nearby airport for a scenic 40 minutes flight to Nepalgunj. After arrival, the travelers will be driven to their hotel (Forest Hideaway Resort or similar) in Bardiya. Here, with a short refreshment and lunch break, the travelers will be guided to the nearby village of Tharu people to experience their rich culture and traditions. The elephant conservation center will be the next stop before proceeding for a sunset from the bank of the Karnali River. Additionally, in the evening, the travelers will be enjoying an ethnic Tharu cultural show at the village before being guided back to their hotel for dinner.

Day 2: Jeep Safari & Visit Crocodile Conservation Center

Day two begins with breakfast at your hotel in Bardiya. The travelers will then be taken for a jeep safari deep inside the core area of the forest. Here the travelers can sight wild animals and birds in their natural habitat. After the safari, the travelers will be back to their hotel for lunch. Later in the afternoon, you will be guided to a nearby crocodile and gharial conservation center. In the evening, the travelers may then choose to further explore the forest area and nearby villages by themselves before their night halt.

Day 3: Jungle-Walk to Machan for Tiger Tracking

Day three of the trip begins with an early morning wake up call at six for breakfast. The travelers will then go for a deep jungle walk that begins through the buffer zone while witnessing different wild animals and birds. The march will then proceed towards the core area of the forest for a proper sighting of a diverse range of jungle creatures in their natural habitat. The hike then finally comes to a halt at Machan for possible sighting of the most famous Royal Bengal Tiger. The day ends with another guided walk back to your hotel in the evening. Here you may freshen up and enjoy your dinner before going back to bed.

Day 4 : Fly back to Kathmandu/Pokhara

Day four begins with an early morning bird watching at the nearby areas of the national park before breakfast. The travelers will then be transferred to Nepalgunj Airport for their flight back to Kathmandu or Pokhara. Upon arrival, the travelers will be transferred back to their respective hotels/apartments.
