Discover the high-altitude landscapes of the Cordillera Blanca on a full-day trip from Huaraz to Chacas, Punta Olimpica, and Cangaraga Lagoon. Travel through Andean valleys, visit Carhuaz, and enjoy impressive views of the surrounding snow-capped mountains.

The tour begins with a 9:00 AM departure from Huaraz. Travel toward Carhuaz, where you will stop to explore the main square and have the opportunity to try traditional handmade ice cream, available at an additional cost.

Continue through the Ulta Valley to Punta Olimpica, located at approximately 4,890 meters above sea level. From here, enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and the snow-capped peaks of the Cordillera Blanca.

Next, continue to Cangaraga Lagoon, where you will take a short walk of approximately 10 minutes. Enjoy the natural scenery and mountain views surrounding this high-altitude lagoon.

After visiting the lagoon, continue to Chacas, a traditional Andean town known for its distinctive buildings and cultural heritage. Take time to explore the town and appreciate its architecture and mountain setting.

After the visit, begin the return journey to Huaraz, with an estimated arrival at approximately 7:30 PM.

Important information: The necessary entrance fees during the tour are included in the tour price. Lunch is not included and costs approximately from S/ 35. Handmade ice cream in Carhuaz is also not included and costs approximately from S/ 4.

The route reaches a maximum altitude of approximately 4,890 meters above sea level, and the walk to Cangaraga Lagoon takes around 10 minutes. Snow is generally more common between January and March, although conditions may vary.

We recommend bringing sunscreen, insect repellent, a hat or cap, comfortable and flexible walking shoes, light clothing, and warm clothing for the afternoon. Bring cash, as Yape, Plin, cards, and other digital payment methods may not be available along the route.

Due to the high altitude of the route, please inform us in advance about any dietary restrictions, heart conditions, blood pressure concerns, respiratory conditions, or other specific requirements. Children under 5 and adults over 65 may enter free of charge by presenting their ID.
