Yerevan: Tsaghkadzor, Lake Sevan, and Cheese Tasting Tour

Discover the Sevan region on a private day trip from Yerevan. Visit Tsaghkadzor, the Sevan Writers’ House, Ttujur village, and enjoy a cheese tasting at a Family Farm.
Begin your day with a pickup from your hotel in Yerevan and head north to Tsaghkadzor. Enjoy the mountain resort town with a walk through the main area. Opt to take the Tsaghkadzor Ropeway or make a quick cultural stop at Kecharis Monastery.

Next, head to Lake Sevan and visit the Writers’ House, a striking, lesser-known stop on the lake. Take photos, admire the architecture, and hear a short story about Soviet-era leisure culture in Armenia.

Continue to the Sevanavank Monastery viewpoint for a classic Lake Sevan panorama and a short uphill walk to the monastery area. Then, visit the Noratus Khachkar Cemetery, one of the most impressive collections of Armenian cross-stones. If you prefer a shorter day, you can skip this stop.

Next, head to Ttujur village for a short local stop where you can taste the mineral water locals call “ttujur” (sour water). Enjoy a light nature break and a genuinely local moment.

Finally, arrive at the Family Farm, the highlight of the tour. Be welcomed and introduced to the farm, then visit the underground cheese cellar. Enjoy a guided cheese tasting (choose your tasting option on-site) and have time to purchase cheese to take home if you wish.
