From Guilin: Guided Li River Cruise & Landscape Painting

Cruise from Guilin to Yangshuo with an English-speaking guide, enjoy a buffet lunch, then create a Chinese landscape painting with a professional artist in Fuli Ancient Town.
Begin your day with pickup from your hotel in central Guilin. The exact pickup time will be confirmed one day before the activity and is usually between 7:30 AM and 9:00 AM, depending on the confirmed cruise departure.

Travel by private air-conditioned vehicle to Zhujiang Pier with your English-speaking guide. Board a shared 4-star Li River cruise and begin the scenic journey from Guilin to Yangshuo.

During the approximately 4 to 4.5-hour cruise, admire limestone peaks, bamboo-lined riverbanks, rural villages, and the distinctive karst landscapes for which Guilin is known. Your guide will accompany you on board and provide live explanations about the scenery, local culture, and life along the Li River.

A Chinese buffet lunch is usually served on board at around noon. The meal time and cruise duration may vary according to the day’s cruise schedule and river conditions.

After arriving at Longtoushan Pier in Yangshuo, continue by private vehicle to Fuli Ancient Town. The transfer normally takes approximately 50 minutes.

At the painting venue, meet a professional artist and join a shared Chinese landscape painting workshop. Learn how traditional brushes, ink, Chinese pigments, and rice paper are used to express mountains, rivers, trees, and village scenery.

Follow the artist’s demonstration and create your own landscape painting inspired by the scenery you have seen during the cruise. Your English-speaking guide will remain with you to assist with communication and explain the cultural background of Chinese landscape painting.

The workshop lasts approximately 60 to 90 minutes. All painting materials are included, and you may take your completed artwork home.

After the painting experience, travel by private vehicle to your hotel in Yangshuo.

The Li River cruise is shared with other passengers, and the painting workshop is shared with other participants. Road transfers and the English-speaking guide are arranged for your booking.

The complete activity normally lasts approximately 10 hours but may vary depending on the cruise schedule, traffic, weather, and workshop arrangements.
