Sofia is a city best discovered slowly - and there's no better way to capture that discovery than on real film. This is a private, documentary-style photography session through Sofia's historic center, led by a photographer with over 10 years of experience and a master's degree in photography.

Forget stiff, posed tourist photos. This session is about capturing you actually experiencing the city - walking, laughing, discovering - not performing for the camera. Using real film cameras (a Nikon F5 and a Minolta Dynax 8000i), every frame carries authentic grain, natural color, and a timeless quality no digital filter can truly replicate.

Where we meet

Meet your photographer at Nezavisimost Square, in the heart of Sofia. From there, we wander through cobblestone streets, historic landmarks, and the quieter corners most tourists never find - the kind of spots a local photographer knows, not the standard postcard viewpoints. The session ends back near the starting area, so you're never far from central Sofia when we wrap up.

Along the way, you'll be guided naturally through poses and moments, with the emphasis on authenticity over stiffness. No modeling experience needed - show up and let the walk unfold.

Every session is fully private. It's just you, or you and a companion - never a shared group with strangers. Solo travelers, couples, and friends are all welcome; the price is the same either way, with up to 2 guests included in every session.

Because this is real film, delivery takes a little longer than a typical digital photographer - processing and scanning are part of the craft. Expect your gallery within about a week.
Comfortable walking shoes are recommended, as we'll cover some ground through Sofia's historic streets.
Sessions can be timed around golden hour for the best light, depending on the season and your schedule.
The photographer speaks English and Bulgarian.
If heavy rain requires rescheduling, you'll be offered a guaranteed refund as an alternative.
