Spend a gentle, scenic day at Tongjian Lake on the green western edge of Hangzhou, combining a refreshing cave visit, easy lakeside walking and a relaxing kayak paddle on calm water. After a convenient pickup at your Hangzhou hotel, your private air-conditioned car takes you to the Lingshan and Tongjian Lake area, with your English-speaking guide sharing the stories and scenery of this peaceful corner of the city along the way.

A short, easy walk brings you to the Lingshan Wonderland cave, which stays a cool 16C year-round, a wonderful escape on a warm day. Inside, fantastically shaped stalactites resemble flowers, animals and mythical figures. Back outside you'll visit the serene Lingshan Buddha and follow a shaded ancient path with lovely views over Tongjian Lake.

Next comes a relaxed lakeside stroll of around three and a half kilometres along flat, easy paths past seasonal flower fields and tranquil water, with the option to enjoy a shared bike if you prefer. Your guide keeps everything gentle and unhurried.

The highlight is a calm two-hour kayak experience on Tongjian Lake, where you can drift across the water and watch the sun sink over the hills, a peaceful, memorable end to the day. A local lunch is included.

In the evening your private car returns you comfortably to your Hangzhou hotel. Ideal for couples, families and anyone wanting a relaxed, authentic day of nature and gentle adventure near Hangzhou.

Explore Lingshan Wonderland, a cool summer retreat with a year-round temperature of around 16°C. After receiving your ticket, take a short walk uphill to reach the cave entrance. If you prefer not to enter the cave, you may continue along the nearby ancient trail and wait near the cave exit.
Inside Lingshan Wonderland, admire a fascinating world of stalactites in countless shapes, resembling flowers, fruits, animals, and mythical figures. The deeper section of the cave includes a stairway leading to a higher viewpoint, where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the unique underground landscape. Please note that some sections may be wet and slippery.
After exiting the cave, visit the Lingshan Buddha and continue hiking along a shaded ancient trail up Lingshan Mountain. From the top, enjoy a beautiful view overlooking Tongjian Lake.
Continue to Lingshan Visitor Center and take a relaxing lakeside walk along Tongjian Lake for about 3.5 km toward the flower-sea pier. If you prefer, you may also rent a shared bike to explore the lake area at your own pace.
Then enjoy a kayaking experience on Tongjian Lake. Put on your life jacket, collect your kayaking equipment, and spend time paddling on the peaceful water while enjoying the lake scenery. If you would like to try paddleboarding instead, an upgrade may be available at an extra cost.
