Shkoder: Hidden Gems of Northern Albania

Begin your journey with an early morning departure from Shkoder, heading toward the Albanian Alps. Follow the paved mountain road into the Theth region, stopping at the Boga Valley panoramic balcony and Thore Pass for breathtaking views of the alpine peaks and valleys.

Arrive in Theth Village and visit the Church of Theth, one of the most iconic landmarks of the region and a symbol of local history and traditions. Then, enjoy an optional hike to Grunas Canyon and Waterfall. This part of the day can be adjusted depending on group interest and pace, making the tour suitable for private or small groups without overloading the schedule.

Continue toward Nderlysa Valley, where the hike to the Stone Groves and the Blue Eye of Kapre begins. This moderate hike passes through forest paths and river landscapes, ending at the turquoise natural spring hidden deep in the valley.

After completing the hikes, leave the main tourist route and enter the loop section of the tour, connecting remote regions of Northern Albania. Stop at Bregu i Lumit, a former regional center during the communist period, offering insight into the social and historical changes of the area.

Continue along the old mountain road of Mount Shosh, passing through remote landscapes and offering panoramic views rarely seen on standard itineraries. Arrive at Prekali Canyon, known for its dramatic rock formations and clear mountain waters, highlighting the wild character of Northern Albania.

Make a final stop at the historic Mes Bridge, an impressive Ottoman-era stone bridge set in a peaceful river environment. During the off-road and old mountain road sections, optional scenic viewpoints may be included, depending on group interest, time, and road conditions.

Return to Shkoder in the late afternoon or early evening, completing the loop journey without retracing the same route.
