3-Day Salt Flats & Altiplano Adventure
Get ready for three unforgettable days exploring some of Bolivia’s most famous landscapes. Travel by 4WD across the Uyuni Salt Flats, discover colorful lagoons filled with flamingos, cross remote deserts, and experience geysers, hot springs, and incredible high-altitude scenery.
Day 1 – Salt Flats, Incahuasi & Sunset
Meet at our office in Uyuni and depart at approximately 10:30 a.m. Start at the Train Cemetery before visiting Colchani, a small community known for its salt workshops and local handicrafts.
Head onto the enormous Uyuni Salt Flats and discover the Saltwater Eyes, Playa Blanca, Flags of the World, and Dakar Monument. After lunch, continue to Incahuasi Island, where giant cacti rise above the white landscape.
Have fun taking perspective photos before enjoying sunset over the salt flats with wine and snacks. Afterward, continue to your hostel for dinner and your first overnight stay.
Day 2 – Flamingos, Lagoons & Desert Landscapes
After breakfast, hit the road through the Chiguana Desert and stop for views of Ollagüe Volcano.
Continue to the Cañapa, Hedionda, and Chiarcota Lagoons, home to flamingos and other Andean wildlife. After lunch, cross the impressive Siloli Desert, visit the famous Stone Tree, and finish at the colorful Red Lagoon inside the Eduardo Avaroa National Reserve.
Enjoy dinner and spend your second night in the Altiplano.
Day 3 – Geysers, Hot Springs & San Pedro de Atacama
Start early with the steaming fumaroles and bubbling mud pools of Sol de Mañana. Continue to Polques Hot Springs, where you can relax in warm thermal waters surrounded by incredible mountain scenery.
Travel through the Dalí Desert and visit the Green and White Lagoons near Licancabur Volcano before continuing toward the Bolivia-Chile border.
After completing the border crossing, continue by transfer to San Pedro de Atacama, arriving at approximately 1:00 p.m. Chile time, where your 3-day adventure comes to an end.

Passengers arriving in Uyuni by overnight bus will be picked up from the bus terminal or their bus company office between 6:00 AM and 8:00 AM. Passengers staying at hotels in Uyuni will be picked up at approximately 10:00 AM. Airport pickup is available for flights arriving between 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM. The exact pickup time will be confirmed one day before the tour.
