1. General Information

The Gate of Heaven – Rocinha Favela Tour is a guided cultural experience held in the Rocinha community in Rio de Janeiro, with a focus on local immersion, safety, and respect for the community.

Upon booking, the customer agrees to all the terms and conditions described below.

2. Cancellation Policy
• Cancellations made more than 48 hours in advance: Full refund (100%), no fees.
• For cancellations made 24–48 hours before the tour: 50% refund of the total price.
• Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the tour or no-shows: no refund.

3. Weather Conditions
• The tour is NOT canceled due to rain.
• The tour will NOT be canceled due to weather conditions such as ordinary storms or changes in the weather.
• It is recommended that participants be prepared for changeable weather conditions.

4. Cancellation for Safety Reasons

Participant safety is a priority.

The tour may be canceled solely in the event of a risk to local safety, such as internal community situations that could jeopardize the safety of visitors.

In these cases:
• The customer will be notified as far in advance as possible;
• You will be offered the option of:
• Rescheduling at no cost, or
• A full refund (100%) of the amount paid.

5. Participant Responsibilities
• Participants must follow all instructions given by the guide during the tour.
• Disrespectful behavior toward local residents is not permitted.
• Failure to comply with the rules may result in the tour being interrupted without the right to a refund.

6. Punctuality
• It is mandatory to arrive at the meeting point at the agreed time.
• If you are late, you may miss the tour and will be considered a no-show, with no refund.

7. Final Considerations

By booking the tour, the client acknowledges that they are aware of the nature of the activity, including travel through a residential area and possible changes to the itinerary depending on local conditions.
