Skip the two- or three-day journey to Colombia's coffee region. Choachí, just over an hour east of Bogotá, is home to a working coffee farm where you'll spend one full day going from cherry to cup — guided by a local trained in coffee production.

After hotel pickup, travel by private vehicle into the mountains for an organic breakfast with seasonal fruit. Then head into the plantation with your guide to learn how Colombia's main growing regions differ, and get hands-on picking ripe cherries straight from the plant.

Back at the processing area, follow your harvest through each stage of production: pulping, milling, grading, and roasting. Every step happens on-site, so you see the real process — not a demonstration version.

The day closes with a guided cupping of the farm's own single-origin coffee, where you'll learn to identify aroma, acidity, body, and finish the way Colombian baristas do. A traditional lunch follows before your private transfer back to Bogotá.
