Start your day with a delicious typical Antioquia breakfast.
Then you'll arrive at the Piedra del Peñol. Climb the 740 steps at your own pace and, from the top, enjoy a spectacular view of the reservoir with its green islets and inlets. You'll have as much time as you want to take photos and enjoy the summit. (Admission costs approx. COP 35,000 and is optional).
Then you'll explore the colorful town of Guatapé, famous for its houses with picturesque plinths. Here, you'll have plenty of free time to walk along its cobblestone streets, see the flower-filled balconies, visit the Plazoleta de los Zócalos, the Malecón, or the church, buy souvenirs, or simply sit back and enjoy the atmosphere.
Later, you'll enjoy a full course lunch at a typical local restaurant, with several options to choose from.
In the afternoon, you'll take a boat tour of the Guatapé Reservoir. You'll see islands, celebrity homes, and the submerged ruins of the old town while relaxing and taking panoramic photos.
To round off the day, you'll visit the Llama and Animal Farm in Alto del Chocho. You'll be able to get up close to llamas, sheep, goats, rabbits, and other animals. You'll have free time to feed them and take photos, perfect for families and animal lovers.
