Led by a professional photographer guide, gain insight into the science behind the Aurora Borealis and learn new photography skills. This tour is for sightseers and photographers alike - no photography experience needed!
Try your hand at capturing the dazzling light show of the Northern Lights with your camera, with photographic coaching and aurora portraits provided for those who desire them. Opt to rent a camera if you need one; simply contact us in advance to make arrangements for a camera rental. Parkas are also available if you request in advance. Tripods are complimentary on the tour for all guests.
We do a daily forecast update for both the aurora borealis and the weather. The tour runs only if the forecast indicates a chance of seeing the aurora. Aurora viewing can be affected by the strength of the aurora, the brightness of the moon, and whether the skies are cloudy. Because both weather and the aurora borealis are natural phenomena, we cannot guarantee seeing the northern lights. If you do not see the northern lights during your tour, you get a free make-up tour.

Guests may be away from the vehicle for up to 1 hour. It’s important to dress appropriately
You will be notified if the tour is canceled due to cloudy, rainy, or snowy conditions. You will be fully refunded in such a case. However, refunds are not offered if the tour proceeds and the northern lights are not seen during the tour. Under those circumstances, a free make-up tour is offered.
