Create your own pottery at ZUIKOUGAMA in Kyoto, a long-established kiln 7 minutes from Kiyomizu-dera. Choose from five glaze colors and make a cup, bowl, plate, or tumbler with guidance.
Begin your experience at ZUIKOUGAMA, a pottery studio in Kyoto operated by Zuikougama, a long-established kiln founded in 1928 and rooted in the tradition of Kyo-yaki and Kiyomizu-yaki ceramics. Located just a short walk from Kiyomizu-dera, Kodaiji, and Yasaka Shrine, the studio offers views of the Yasaka Pagoda from its windows.

With guidance from skilled instructors, create your own ceramic piece. Choose from a range of shapes, including cups, bowls, plates, mugs, and tumblers. Once shaped, select from five original glazes: white, yellow, amber, turquoise, and bronze.

Enjoy a comfortable experience with complimentary aprons to keep your clothes clean. After the session, your piece will be fired and shipped to your home, allowing you to enjoy your handmade work from Kyoto.
