Day 1: Nature & Hill Station Escape

Begin your adventure with a visit to Horsley Hills, a peaceful hill station located about 90 km from Chittoor. Enjoy a scenic drive of 2–2.5 hours to reach this serene destination. Explore top attractions like the Wind Rock Viewpoint, Horsley Hills Zoo, the famous Eucalyptus Tree “Kalyani,” and the Environmental Park. Take short nature walks, capture stunning photographs, and relax in the cool climate.

Afterward, enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant or the AP Tourism guesthouse at Horsley Hills.

In the afternoon, consider an optional visit to the Kaundinya Wildlife Sanctuary, a nearby forest area home to elephants, deer, and peacocks. Enjoy a short safari or forest drive (entry permit required) for 1–2 hours.

Return to Chittoor by evening and relax at your hotel or explore the local market for snacks and souvenirs. End your day with a traditional Andhra meal for dinner. Spend the night in Chittoor town or Madanapalle (if closer to Horsley Hills).

Day 2: Temples & Waterfalls

Start your day with a visit to the Kanipakam Vinayaka Temple, an ancient 11th-century temple dedicated to Lord Ganesha. Spend 1.5 hours exploring this sacred site, known for its self-manifested and growing idol. The temple is located 11 km from Chittoor.

Next, head to the Kailasakona Waterfalls, a perennial waterfall in a serene setting with a nearby temple. Enjoy nature walks, small treks, and, if the season allows, take a dip in the water pool. Spend 2 hours soaking in the natural beauty. The waterfalls are approximately 40 km from Chittoor, on the way to Tirupati.

For those interested, visit the Mogili Sree Mogileeswara Swamy Temple, a calm Shiva temple with a sacred pond. Enjoy the peaceful surroundings for 30–45 minutes. The temple is located 25 km from Chittoor.

Enjoy lunch at a local dhaba or restaurant near the temple areas. In the evening, return to Chittoor or depart to Tirupati, Chennai, or Bangalore.
