The Family Safari – Shared Tour is an experience on Etna designed for families with children, ideal for discovering the volcano in a safe, fun, and educational way.
The tour takes place inside the Bio Parco Cubania, a private property of about 40 hectares located in the Etna Park, accessible only with specialized guides and authorized vehicles.
The experience kicks off at Favazza Etna Winery, the tour's welcome and departure point. After a welcome breakfast and a short introductory briefing, you'll set off in a Land Rover Defender, sharing it with other participants.
The route crosses vineyards, historic lava flows, and volcanic forests, with short stops and easy walks, suitable for kids.
The guide accompanies the group with a simple and engaging story, focusing on the flora, fauna, and transformations of the volcanic landscape.
The tour includes scenic stops on the 1928 and 1971 lava flows, a stop at a centuries-old tree grown on the lava, and a view of the entrance to a lava flow cave.
At the end of the excursion, you'll head back to the winery for a tasting: 4 glasses of Favazza wine for adults and non-alcoholic alternatives for children, such as vegetable and fruit extracts from our organic garden.
Inside our winery, families can freely visit the facility and its wonderful spaces and embark on an exciting treasure hunt.

Please note: As this is a shared tour, we can't guarantee that all participants will travel in the same car. Vehicles leave about 10 minutes apart.
The meeting point is at Favazza Etna Winery, a farm located on the north side of Etna. Here, our staff will welcome you for:
