From Osaka, experience it all in one day: meet Nara's adorable deer, taste authentic Uji matcha desserts, and soak in a warm hot spring to unwind
In the early morning, departing from Osaka, we will take you on a perfect one-day journey that seamlessly blends nature, history, cuisine, and ultimate relaxation
In the morning,we step into the ancient Nara Park, where time seems to slow down. Herds of wild deer are the true masters here. We will provide you with special deer crackers, allowing you to have an intimate encounter with these spiritual "forest messengers"—watch them bow politely or playfully chase after you, instantly melting away all fatigue. As you stroll through the park, the magnificent wooden architecture of the World Heritage Site Tōdai-ji is awe-inspiring, while the serene and mysterious Kasuga Taisha Shrine, guarded by thousands of stone lanterns, tells tales of faith spanning a thousand years
At noon, you may choose to dine at "Kasugano", "Kasuga-no-chaya", or "Mentōan". "Kasugano", located on the shopping street at the foot of Mount Wakakusa, offers the chance to watch deer roam while enjoying your meal and serves seasonal Japanese cuisine. "Kasuga-no-chaya" is known for its "Manyō-gayu"—a porridge made with seasonal plants that changes flavor each month, offering unique and delightful surprises. "Mentōan" is famous for its signature "Kinchaku Udon", where noodles are wrapped in fried tofu pouches in a distinctive style, as well as the Nara-exclusive "Kojika Udon" adorned with adorable deer patterns, beloved by many
In the afternoon, we head to Uji, the hometown of matcha. This is the final setting of the literary masterpiece "The Tale of Genji", where the air is filled with classical elegance and the subtle aroma of tea. Here, you can freely choose between two ways to explore: "Option A: Uji Exploration" or "Option B: Uji + Onsen". Stroll through the grounds of Byōdō-in Temple, step into The Tale of Genji Museum, and immerse yourself in the aristocratic grace of the Heian period through multimedia exhibits. Don’t forget to savor an exceptionally rich matcha parfait at century-old establishments like "Tōfūan", "Nakamura Tokichi Honten", or "Itōkyūemon", letting your taste buds reach paradise first. If you seek deeper relaxation, we have selected Uji’s only natural hot spring—"Genji-no-Yu". Soak in the warm waters sourced from over a thousand meters underground, overlooking the scenic Uji River, and feel the weariness of your journey vanish in an instant
As evening falls, we return with contentment. In just one day, this journey combines playful deer encounters, ancient temple visits, exquisite matcha tastings, and soothing onsen therapy, leaving you with cherished memories and a refreshed spirit. This is a culturally rich tour designed for travelers seeking depth and tranquility. We look forward to meeting you on this unforgettable journey
