Your day begins with a convenient pickup from your hotel, apartment, or the airport at 7:00 AM. After a brief introduction to your guide, you’ll relax in an air-conditioned minivan as you journey towards the beautiful Lake Baringo. Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by the stunning sight of thousands of birds soaring above the lake, setting the tone for an unforgettable experience.

Leave the vehicle behind as you embark on a walking tour around the lake’s shores. Lake Baringo is an alkaline lake, home to an abundance of blue-green algae, which sustains the large population of flamingos in the area. Over 135 bird species have been recorded here, including the little grebe, pratincole, swift, little bee-eater, cape wigeon, yellow-billed stork, African spoonbill, augur buzzard, gabber goshawk, water dikkop, great tit, starling, hornbill, and crombec. The area is also home to a herd of the rare Greater Kudu, along with other mammals such as buffalo, zebra, baboons, warthogs, caracals, spotted hyenas, impalas, and dik diks.

Around 1:00 PM, take a break to enjoy a delicious lunch at one of the local hotels, offering you a chance to relax and recharge. Afterward, you’ll begin your journey back to Nairobi, arriving in the city in the late afternoon, filled with fond memories of your day exploring the natural beauty of Lake Baringo.
